Stop Making Babies

OK, this is not going to be a normal "I hate babies because they cry all the time" rant. I really don't hate babies. There's absolutely nothing personal between me and babies. But some of you just don't get it, so I have to explain.

Here are some facts:

1- Most people are getting poorer. You can barely afford to pay for your own stuff, in fact you can't, which is why you take out loans (Mostly in developed countries, since loans are not as common in most developing countries). And if you are in a developing country, chances are making more babies is gonna cost you (and them) more than it's gonna help you.

2- While overpopulation is not the only cause of increasing poverty, it is probably a main one. There are examples where overpopulation where it has not caused poverty (such as North and South Korea, where the population levels and land resources are roughly the same, but the South has a much lower poverty rate) But there are also fallacious arguments, such as those citing statistics showing that increased population size correlates positively with lower percentages of poverty. The reason these statistics are not entirely reliable is because even though the percentage of the population below the poverty line has decreased, the number of people in poverty has likely increased, and that is usually not even mentioned in the argument.

3- AIDS. Seriously, when they say there are no limits to stupidity, they are exactly right. When there are countries that have an AIDS rate higher than 15% (I'm talking to you South Africa) and that rate is constantly increasing, it can only mean one thing: people with AIDS are making babies. If that's not stupid then I don't know what is.

So in summary, stop having (too many) babies!

And while you're at it, you might as well quit smoking, because that makes you look stupid too.

Angry Thursday

So its Thursday guys.. and im drunk.
Im writing this and im drunk. Ha well friday is tommorrow so im almost there and then i can look forward to another regretful weekend. Women, gambling and memories i will certainly
make and then forget. Let the awesomeness begin.
The Protestors stopped by today, that was cool. We Jammed and then we pressured Dave (one of the protestors) into doing something really stupid - i dont think his GF will ever forgive him.

On another note, i just want to rant about the economy.
Everything is getting tough, i get that. I accept that and i have to do what i can to stay employed and keep the economy pumping. Basically i need to earn and spend. Simple.
Okay, with that being said we can say that the only way we can all get out of this is by doing our parts (earning and spending). Okay... So there are tax cuts everywhere and sales on
everything to encourage this BUT can someone tell me Why the hell my KFC meal costs 8 bux??? WTF. small fries, small drink and crappy chicken burger - Freakin 8 bux!!!
Oh, and KFC aren't the only ones... It seems like almost every fast food chain is like this... Remember 4 years ago when the same mean cost half of what it does now. I do.
Greedy bastards. We are supposed to be working together to save the economy and encourage spending. They used the inflated gas prices as a reason to drive up their costs, but now the price
of gas has dropped..A lot. Yet, the price of my damn chicken burger is still double. WTF is your excuse KFC? You're driving this recession and stunting it's recovery. I hate you and your 8 dollar burger.

Drugs

I have never tried any narcotics. So, I wouldn't be able to describe the experience for you. I don't know if the negative effects (if any) outweigh the positive effects (if any). I guess it all depends on the type of narcotic we are talking about.

A lot of people these days like drugs. Or maybe it has been like this all along? Anyway, they want (certain) drugs to be legal. The main example is marijuana. Why do these people want to legalize it? Well the reasons vary, but the most popular ones are "The war on drugs is not working", "Weed isn't bad for you, it's good for you" and "Drugs don't kill people, cops kill people".

And while any of these reasons might be arguable, one thing is for sure: the current state of drugs is not working out too well. I mean, look at what is happening in Mexico. The question is: will legalizing marijuana solve these problems? It will be grown in the U.S., or imported legally, sold legally, and probably taxed. So no more gang issues. Will crime be eliminated? Also, and more importantly, will more people start smoking weed? The reason this is an important question is because some people believe that if a growing chunk of society smokes weed, society will slowly deteriorate into a nonfunctional state, since these people might no longer contribute anything to it.

What do you think?

Listen.

Can you hear that?

You can? ... What did you hear? Because I didn't say anything... Maybe you're hearing things. Maybe you have a really big imagination. Or maybe not, since you probably spend most of your time watching television or surfing the internet, i.e. letting someone else think for you. Not that you would necessarily be any more creative if it weren't for the media telling you what to think.

Maybe I'm assuming things. I mean, maybe you don't own a television set. And this might be your first time ever on the internet. This is the very first website you have ever visited. How did you get here? Maybe you are lost. Maybe it was your destiny to pay me a visit.

Or maybe you follow the news religiously, but fail to exhibit the groupthink characteristic of other humans. Are you even human? Well, maybe by the time you read this message monkeys would have evolved enough to be able to read. Evolution doesn't happen that fast.

Why all these questions? Maybe this, maybe that... Does it matter? Maybe it does. Let's wait and see.
